“Calm on the outside – strong at the core”

Especially when it comes to people. In difficult conversations, conflicts or times of change, I offer stability, listen, and find a solution with empathy and clarity that allows everyone to move forward.

Understanding people, recognizing potential. Understanding people is not taught in any training program, yet in my opinion it is the most important requirement for a successful company. Where there is motivation, you achieve much more. I quickly recognize where someone belongs, where they will flourish and where a company gains the most value. The right skills in the right place benefit both sides: employers and employees.

Nothing throws me off balance. I can put myself in the other person’s shoes very well and always find a solution that leaves everyone involved satisfied and at ease. This ability is rare and valuable today. It has grown over decades through my life and work experience. In this sense, my age and experience are not a disadvantage but a rare advantage.

Rolex SA, Biel – Human Resources. At Rolex, I felt most at home in the world of human resources. With around 3,000 employees, I worked every day with people from all levels and professions, a task I truly enjoyed. I was responsible for recruiting and onboarding programs, complemented by continuing education in human resources management (CRQP, Lausanne). For every new hire, between 10 and 20 people a month, I presented the company, its concept and its philosophy. Because I always asked candidates the right questions, I was regularly brought in for assessments.

Rolex SA, Biel – Difficult Conversations. I adapt quickly, am empathetic and always remain professional. This allows me to communicate ideas, visions and even difficult decisions clearly without making the other person uncomfortable. For this reason, I was asked several times to present sensitive situations and conduct termination meetings. When Rolex Geneva took over, many employees had to be reassigned. Instead of dismissals, the situation could often be resolved through the right placement, and those affected left the meeting with dignity and a future perspective. I was naturally entrusted with handling sensitive information.

Rolex SA, Biel – Team Leadership. I led a team of five employees working in shifts, including scheduling, vacations and absences. Our front desk team was among the most praised in the company, and I was recognized for my leadership.

Rolex SA, Biel – Staff Committee. The employees elected me to the staff committee, where I represented around 3,000 employees as their link to management. Seeing both sides and bringing them together is, for me, one of the most important tasks in human resources.

Zurich Airport – De-escalation. At the airport I was called in whenever a situation threatened to escalate or guests were unhappy. Every guest left the conversation calm and grateful, with a decision and solution they could accept. I was praised for this time and again. Over the years, customer satisfaction has always been the most rewarding part of all my work.

B Profil AG – Staffing and Placement. For about two years I worked as a recruiter and placement consultant. I especially valued the combination of client contact and business development: finding the right people for a company and the right job for my candidates.

Integral International AG – Team Leadership. As head of the institutes, I led small teams directly, responsible for both results and culture. We worked professionally and with joy, the work was meaningful, and our clients stayed loyal to us for years.

Independently and as part of a team. I need and value both: the freedom to drive projects forward on my own and the exchange within a team where ideas develop together. The combination works best for me. In brainstorming sessions I develop and share ideas, and I then carry that energy into independent execution.

Bridging generations. I truly value the ideas of every generation and enjoy bringing them together. At heart and in my thinking, I have stayed young. Both sides benefit from the exchange: younger people learn from the experience of the older generation, and older people from the visions and ideas of the young. Today companies need people who build this bridge, as well as the one between people and new technologies. I love working with young people and am happy to be the one who brings everyone together.
